After a fire the smoke will be absorbed into all parts of the house the floors and ceilings is where the smoke gets absorbed the most. When the fire department comes out and puts out the fire, all that water gets absorbed into your floors making them a soggy swamp. They must be replaced right away or you will see the mold. The structure is no longer safe so you will fall through. Do not risk your safety or anyone else's safety be being cheap. After a fire you MUST take the necessary precautions to further prevent another disaster.
